John C. Dykstra

John C. Dykstra is a Director of the Company and a member of the Audit Committee.  Mr. Dykstra formerly served as Chief Operating Officer of the Company for twenty-six years before retiring in April 2024.  During his tenure Mr. Dykstra was responsible for overall corporate operations, including implementation of corporate strategies, product development, regulatory affairs, human resource administration and managing the Company’s relationship with the Department of Defense.  Mr. Dykstra is a joint inventor on multiple patents related to the Company’s lead drug candidate and is a co-author on several peer reviewed publications.  Before joining the Company in May 1998, Mr. Dykstra served for seven years as Senior Vice President of MVE, Inc. (Chart Industries), a privately held manufacturing company located in Burnsville, Minnesota. In this capacity, Mr. Dykstra was responsible for corporate marketing, new business development, international sales and general management of several business divisions. From 1987 to 1991 Mr. Dykstra was Vice President of Marketing and Business Development for DataServ, Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of BellSouth Corporation. Mr. Dykstra's responsibilities at DataServ included strategic corporate planning, product development and marketing. He also served as a management consultant with KPMG LLP and Deloitte & Touche LLP.  Mr. Dykstra holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Indiana University.

Mr. Dykstra has served as a member of the Board of Directors since 1999.
